Rebirth, Emergence & Putting Down Fresh Roots
On 20th March we celebrated Ostara, the Spring Equinox, the point of perfect balance between light and dark and nature’s rebirth which marked the onset of Spring and the season of renewal.

Ostara represented a threshold for purification and release of what no longer serves us, so fresh intentions can take root in nourishing, fertile soil, warmed by the sun as it climbs higher each day on the way to the Summer Solstice. As we emerge from the darker months and the harshness of winter, it’s time to spring clean the physical spaces we inhabit and the energetic spaces of the mind, body, spirit and soul.
The equinox was also the first day of Aries season and the start of a brand new astrological year. Unlike 1st January it’s seasonally, cosmically and energetically aligned with new beginnings.
But with Mercury, planet of communication and Venus the Bringer of Peace both retrograding in Aries until mid April, and Neptune, planet of dreams and the subconscious waiting to move from Pisces to Aries (for the first time since 1861!) on 30th March, we're inhabiting an energy of both/and...
We are between worlds
BOTH in a new beginning at the start of a new astrological year
AND there are cosmic forces holding us back for just a little longer
It’s time to
pause, for patience and reflection,
for mindful contemplation and connection, to
Muladhara, our Root Chakra, which represents our
foundation, sense of security and the right to be here, so we can establish a grounded base from which to flourish and expand when the cosmic energies shift.
